Fistula is condition that affects women at birth, often a result of young mothers giving birth without professional support in the desert or as a result of FGM. It affects thousands of women in Somaliland. For a long time Fistula was a life sentence. Women abandoned by their families, husbands, facing stigma and exclusion from community.
