African Union’s Blue Economy Strategy is a framework developed by the African Union to promote sustainable use of aquatic and marine resources for economic growth, improved livelihoods, and environmental conservation in Africa. Dogoodfilms has been comissioned by AU to produce a documentary looking back at 5 years of efforts in Conserving Aquatic Biodiversity on the continent. The film features communities protecting magroves in Ghana and Kenya, efforts to combat illegal fishing in the Gulf of Guinea and seaweed farming communities in Zanzibar.
